The entrance to the riverwalk dock is located on the street level on the northeast corner of Michigan Avenue and Wacker Drive (112 E. Wacker Drive). Descend the stairs two levels to access the dock. Look for the blue awning!

The most convenient parking lot is the LAZ Parking Service Garage at 111 E. Wacker Drive (Illinois Center). You can bring your parking ticket to Chicago’s First Lady’s ticket office for a validation sticker. The rate is $14 (3 hours or less) or $15 (4 hours or less).

We want you to be comfortable! The attire is smart casual. Think summer dresses, skirts, and trousers for women and collared shirts and slacks for men. There is an outdoor terrace on the boat— please check the weather and bring a light jacket, if needed!

Gentlemen, if you have a tuxedo, this is the perfect opportunity to wear it! Dark suits are also welcome.
Ladies, please dress as elegant as you wish! Gowns, midi-length dresses, and dressy jumpsuits would all be appropriate.

Please plan to be seated by 5 PM. Make sure to give yourself extra time to find parking and call Ubers as Summer Saturday evenings are quite busy in Chicago.

There is no parking lot associated with St. James Chapel. If you are driving into the city, we recommend downloading Park Wiz or Spot Hero to find affordable parking rates. If you are staying downtown, we recommend walking, public transportation, or ride share apps.

Transportation from St. James Chapel to the Chicago Cultural Center will be provided for out of town guests.

The most convenient parking lot is the Grant Park North Garage located at 25 N Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL. It is a 2 minute walk from the Chicago Cultural Center.

Cocktail hour will be located in the G.A.R. Hall and Rotunda. The closest entrance is on E. Randolph Street. Please take the stairs to the second floor to reach G.A.R. Hall.
